The male patient, diagnosed cancer of kidney, which was subject to the operative treatment, applied to LISSOD. Patient’s state complicated with diabetes mellitus (II type) and hypertonic disease (II stage).Before appealing toLISSOD patient visited several major Ukrainian medical centers, but he was refused with surgical treatment.In the case with our patient who has overweight and associated illness, conducting of traditional operation with abdomen discission faced to big risk of severe postoperative complications. The participation of experienced and high-grade surgeon, who had great experience, was necessary in conducting laparoscopic kidney removal with oncological patient for such complexity operation. He agreed to conduct laparoscopic operation after observation of investigations results, holding tumor board with LISSOD specialists’ participation such as clinical oncologists, anesthesiologists and surgeons.Operation and general anesthesia were carried out without complications. Tumorous malignant kidney was removed (extirpated) within 3,5 hours. The patient could move by himself at the next day, in 3 days time he was ready to release. According to the pathology results of the removed kidney, clinical oncologists made sure that tumor was completely extirpated. The patient did not require the further additional treatment, except monitoring, and, of course, correction of body mass.Technique, which was applied in this operation, had never been practiced in Ukraine yet.
