Biography

In 1980 Alla Borisovna graduated from the Kiev State Medical University, diploma of MD. Until 1984 she has worked as a obstetrician-gynecologist at the hospital № 5 in Kyiv. Since 1984 to 1986 year she was trained at the residency at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology № 3 of the Kiev State Institute of Advanced Medical. 1986 - 2006 worked as a senior scientist at the Department of Oncogynecology of the Institute of Oncology AMSU.

Competence.

At present she is an active member of professional associations:

  • Ukrainian Society of Oncologists since 1986;
  • European Society for Medical Oncologists (ESMO) in 1996;
  • European Society of gynecologic oncologists (ESGO) since 2004;
  • European Society of cervical cancer (ECCA);
  • American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in 2001.

Main achievements:

  • 1989 – defense of Candidates dissertation thesis "Evaluation of  methods of early detection of ovarian tumors information". Degree of PhD in the field of OB\GYN;
  • 2005 – defense of  Doctoral dissertation  thesis  "Cervical cancer: optimization of the combined treatment programs" Oncology;
  • co-author of nine patents;
  • published over 160 scientific publications.
Specialization.

Oncogynecologist of the highest category, the surgeon, the possession of all types of diagnostics and surgical treatment of gynecological patients.

The main directions of scientific and practical research:

  • Improved methods of combined treatment of patients with cervical cancer - neoadjuvant chemo radiation therapy for locally advanced forms, organ-preserving surgical patients of reproductive age;
  • complex treatment of patients with ovarian cancer - a combined cytoreductive surgery and combined chemotherapy;
  • combined treatment of endometrial cancer patients with surgical interventions and radiotherapy.
