What does every woman feel hearing the words “breast cancer”?

She certainly feels fear, panic, uncertainty… Sadly, but these sort of negative emotions verify the data of world statistics. Nowadays, on the average, in every second family there is a woman who is suffering from this disease. Every half-hour one woman in Ukraine is diagnosed with breast cancer on the latest stage in 85% of the cases. Every hour one woman dies from this disease in our country.

We recommend you to undergo screening as soon as possible if you answer “Yes” to at least one of the questions given below:

  • Has menstruation started before you have reached 12 years of age?
  • Are you more than 30 years old and you had not given birth?
  • Have your close relatives suffered from breast cancer (mother, sister, grandmother in the mother’s line etc)?
  • Have you ever been diagnosed with any type of breast disease (fibrous adenoma etc.)?

If your auxiliary lymph nodes have increased or you have indurations in breast, change of skin color or discharge from nipples, you should undergo screening as soon as possible, disregarding your age and the time of your last examination.

It is important to remember, that promptness of application and qualified treatment in case of breast cancer on early stages ensure recovery of 98% of women!

The procedures of breast cancer screening are rather simple and painless. Thus, it is recommended for women to undergo screening at least once a year:

  • US (ultrasound examination) of mammary glands in the age from 18 to 35 years;
  • mammography (X-ray examination) of mammary glands in the age from 36 to 80 years.

Why To Do It in LISSOD?

  • The price of procedures includes an opinion of Fanni Sperber who is a recognized Western doctor (hyperlink), an invited specialist to LISSOD for diagnostics of mammary gland diseases.
  • Department of Mammary Gland Diseases in LISSOD is equipped with the most up-to-date low-dosage mammographer, has a capacity to scatter radiation, in this manner it decreases the radiation load without worsening the quality of examination. The Ultrasound device has the highest resolution and is one the best in Ukraine.
