In Memorial LISSOD Hospital vaccination was started by using Gardasil with a view to prevention of cancer cervix . Gardasil vaccine protects from most prevalent oncogenic viruses VPCH 16 and 18, which cause more than 70% of cases of cancer cervix worldwide. Also, the vaccine protects from VPCH 6 and 11 which cause genital kondylomatoz.In the International symposium in Malaysia was discussed about effectiveness of Gardasil vaccine against VPCH (Ferris D, Quadrivalent HPV Vaccine Investigators.)
