Specific characteristics of surgical treatment of cancer in LISSOD:
- Surgical treatment of cancer is provided according to generally accepted
international standards;
- Individual approach to each patient in choosing the optimal type of
operation;
- Surgeries are executed by leading and experienced in their fields Western and
Ukrainian surgeons;
- Application of the most up-to-date technologies in surgery (laparoscopic equipment,
ultrasound scalpels and staplers) allows execution of organ preserving and non-traumatic
operations;
- Participation of foreign specialists in consultations via telemedicine
system;
- Opportunity to execute intraoperative histological tests that provides with the possibility to choose the optimal volume of surgical intervention.

Operation Rooms
Operation rooms are totally equipped according to the modern standards meeting all sanitary and hygienic standards:
- forced ventilation system with biological filters and the highest level of
cleanness;
- universal operation table, optimally adjusted to any operative intervention
execution;
- high quality surgical armaments;
- mobile digital X-ray plant produced by Philips, which allows conducting operative
X-ray tests directly during operations.
In LISSOD practically all rational modern methods of anesthesia and intensive therapy
are implemented for cancer treatment. Due to it the surgeons can execute operations of
any level of complexity. Less traumatic laparoscopic operations are preferable and
available since the most up-to-date laparoscopic equipment and unique technologies are
implemented here. Laparoscopic operations are executed with the help of the camera and
specialized surgical instruments, which are introduced into the small (5-10 mm) incisions
in abdominal and breast cavity. Operation area in exact and zoomed image is visible to
the operation team on a special screen transmitting the image due to the camera.
Application of laparoscopic operations significantly diminishes after-operative pain,
meanwhile recovery period and coming back to substantial life essentially
decreases.
Usual classical operation on kidney tumor removal requires big abdominal or side
incision and sometimes rib removal and in most cases causes complications of
post-operative sore, chronic pains, weakness of abdominal wall and often disability of
patients. In LISSOD such operations are executed with laparoscopic route by Israeli
surgeons that are very experienced in this field. After operation 4-5 small seams up to
2-3 cm remains; and the patient sojourn in stationary decreases up to 3-4 days
Potential of surgical treatment in
