Consultation based on documents allows receiving qualified consultation with clinical oncologist even if the patient because of objective reasons is not able to come himself to the first consultation. Close relatives of the patient can submit to us all necessary materials and get consultant opinion with the recommendations of diagnostics or treatment.
In order to provide consultation based on documents, the LISSOD oncologist will require the results of all analyses, procedures or therapeutic courses undergone by the patient, such as:
- Materials of all executed biopsies (in the form of microscope slide with samples of tissues taken from tumor(s) or paraffin blocks);
- The results of instrumental methods of examination (X-ray, ultrasound scanning, computer tomography, magnetic resonance tomography, endoscopic examination etc.);
- The results of laboratory examinations;
- Outgoing medical documentation: case records, medical opinions, information about the courses of treatment.
- Besides, in order to get more clear idea about the patient condition, it is essential to see how the patient looks like, how he moves, speaks. Therefore we will be thankful if you can provide us any video record with a patient participation. It is important, that this record is produced as close as possible to the date of consultation. This record can be produced by home video camera, photo camera (with video recording function), mobile telephone, and send to us via any standard camera.
