Operations on a Mammary Gland (Breast Cancer) In the process of breast cancer treatment various types of mastectomy are provided with optional one- or two-staged mammary gland restoration or its previous form remodeling using either artificial implants or own tissues. Organ preserving operations have been implemented in the course of breast cancer treatment, so-called lumpectomy, which means erasion of tumors only in healthy tissues measures and saving the gland itself. Herewith, the oncological plastic principles are widely applied in the hospital. That provides a possibility to achieve the best cosmetic result. The method of “sentinel lymph gland” detection was implemented to determine indications to lymph gland erasion. This test firmly determines involvement of all other lymph glands in tumor process. That allows avoiding extensive operation. Such method is unique for Ukraine. Operations on esophagus (esophageal cancer) Partial or full esophagus erasion with various plastic types (entodermal canal or stomach). Operations on stomach (stomach cancer) In the process of stomach cancer treatment various versions of resections and gastroectomy (full stomach erasion in case of the spread process) are used with an option of its formation from the part of intestine, wide erasion of affected lymph nodes and peritoneum. Operation on colon and small intestine Various types of resections with restoration of the intestine’s patency are applied, including the usage of laparoscopic methods. Operations on rectum Local excision of rectum tumor; frontal resection, abdominal resection; extirpation of rectum using modern surgical stapling instruments and laparoscopic methods. Operations on pancreatic gland (pancreatic cancer) Resection or complete erasion with the part of duodenum and stomach, so-called pancreatoduodenal resection.
